More than 1,000 people gathered in Westmead two weeks ago for the Sydney Alliance pre-election Assembly. The atmosphere was electric as diverse voices shared heart-breaking stories that visibly affected everyone present.

Much more than nostalgic hankering for the past, Here are a few springboards on which my faith finds the strength to leap into the future.

Here at Wesley Mission, we don’t just live in this shadow of our history, but with ‘open hands’ and a generous spirit, we create new history as we continue the work of Jesus Christ in Word and deed, doing all the good we can, because every life matters.

As the end of the year approaches, I make time to reflect. What were the highlights of the year past? Lessons learned? What am I grateful for?

At Wesley Mission, we believe that when people encounter Jesus, their lives will be transformed. That’s why we long for our new missional communities to be places where people have the opportunity to say ‘yes’ to Jesus’ offer of life in abundance.
